Purpose

Decision Rule Application

This instruction was prepared to establish the rules describing how measurement uncertainty is taken into account in conformity assessment when stating conformity with a predefined requirement based on laboratory test results. Where the method of stating conformity is defined by legal authorities, regulatory bodies and/or mandatory legislation, the rules in this instruction do not apply.
